CHADDS FORD, PA (AUGUST 29, 2011) - - - Get ready for the bold flavor of Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. Guests can expect wood grilled steaks, ice cold martinis and more. The restaurant plans a mid September at Garnet Valley Center, just off of Wilmington West Chester Pike. If you’ve been waiting for the best new restaurant to come to town, it’s coming! The Chadds Ford site marks the 19th location for the company nationwide with future sites planned for the northeast in 2011 and 2012. Guests can enjoy well seasoned steaks grilled over the open flame, awesome burgers, oversized salads, herb roasted prime rib, fresh seafood and more. Firebirds is the creative concept of owner and restaurateur Dennis Thompson. Mr. Thompson is also the co-founder of Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon and Fox and Hound. While splitting his time between residences in Aspen, Colorado and Charlotte, NC, Thompson drew from some of his experiences out West to develop the food and the flair of Firebirds. The restaurant features an indoor stone fireplace where guests can kick back fire side in the FIREBAR while enjoying a cocktail or appetizer. An impressive wall of backlit bottles lights up the bar, while upbeat music pulsing through the room gives off a cool, hip vibe. Dark woods, bold colors and stacked stone columns make for a cozy, dining room setting. Colorful tiles illuminated by the warm glow of candles in the ladies room make even the restrooms unique. The exposed kitchen showcases a flurry of activity, while smoky aromas from the hardwood flames infuse the restaurant. “Grilling over the open flame gives all of our food a tremendous flavor,” says Thompson. “Our blend of bold seasonings, spices and sauces is designed to create an innovative style of American cuisine that makes each dish flavorful from beginning to end,” he adds. Signature dishes include the Lobster Spinach Queso, Seared Ahi Tuna, BLT Salad, Buffalo Meatloaf, Pecan Crusted Trout and Crème Brulee Cheesecake. Firebirds also features its own private label red and white wines. General Manager Sean Caviston, a Philadelphia native and previous owner of the award winning Caviston’s, will be heading up operations. Josh White will serve as head Chef. The restaurant features a spectacular outdoor patio for dining alfresco. Every Monday – Friday, take advantage of ½ priced FIREBAR appetizers and drink specials in the FIREBAR and on the patio from 5pm-7pm.
